I have been wanting to write a blog post but I had a writer block for long time (one year, one month and 28 days, to be exact). Then, I saw somebody writing a prompt for 30 days as an encouragement to write. I liked that and I decided to start today, first day of the month. I might will write more than 30 days (that's my goal) but I have set up 30 prompts for now. If you have a prompt and want me to write - feel free to tell me!
Day 1: List 10 things that make you really happy.
1. Accomplishing what I set to do for the day. More than often, I ended up failing to do tasks that I set for the day. This feat is rare and when I am able to, I will get super excited and really proud of myself.
2. Seeing my family being happy. Sappy, I know but they mean the world to me. Their happiness is my happiness.
3. Receiving a text/message saying "I love you" from people I cherish.
4. Cuddling with my cat. Right now, she is at my parents' home - 1,600 miles away. But that's OK because I will see her again soon.
5. Cold days with no plans. It means I can curl up in my bed under a pile of blanket and stay there for long time. Maybe with a cup of hot chocolate.
6. Brunch. I don't do this often enough and I love brunch. It is something about brunch, it is too late in morning but still early in the day and having brunch is like mediating with food.
7. Getting up before sunrise. Although, I do like staying in bed all the day - I really like getting up before sunrise (it is nearly impossible, though), and at that moment, just before the sun shows itself, I always feel I can conquer the day.
8. Having an adventure. Be it a trip out of country or going to shopping mall with friends - having an adventure is something I always look forward to. Something unexpected always happen on an adventure.
9. Eating new food. If you have read a previous post I wrote about Hong Kong - it is literally about food. I love eating and trying different and weird food. It is like getting know yourself through food.
10. Smell of book. How can you NOT like the smell of book? By the way, textbook does not count. With all new technology and e-books and being a grown up with a busy life, I don't have lot time for books anymore. Whenever I pick up a book, it means I am making time for myself. Something I need once in a while.
