Day 22: A letter to your childhood self.
Dear younger me,
You will be a person you never thought you would be. You never thought you would be living outside of your hometown. You never thought you will go to a far away land. But you will.
You thought you will be always this shy little girl who always stands outside of the crowd. You thought you will be alone forever. But you're wrong.
Don't worry, those things will come to you eventually. They don't happen overnight. What you need to do is keep going forward. Find yourself and find what you are passionate about, then you will realize what you are worrying about right now is not that important.
Find a fire inside of you and the fire will burn even brighter when you take care of it.
Oh, and keep reading books. They take you on adventures, some of them are sad while others are happy. Those adventures allow you to feel things that you thought you wouldn't feel. Keep reading books because they help you grow, and they keep you company.
You will get lonely and you will learn how to live with it. You will become friends with loneliness and then the life becomes much easier. Because, really, if you accepted loneliness as part of your life, it won't bother you as much as it used to. You will be able to go on and enjoy the life more.
Value your feelings and memories highly for they become faded over the time. Keep taking pictures because you know those pictures will somehow surface somewhere in the distant future. You will look at them and remember all happy, angry, crazy, giddy, and painful memories. You will smile at memories and see how much you have grown.
But the most important thing you must remember,
is that never stop loving yourself.
Love,
Older you.
