Day 21: The book you're currently reading.
For those who know me... they know very well that I usually reading 3+ books at the same time.
I tend to read one book then I start on reading other one then other one while never finishing any of books. I enjoy starting the book, but for some reason, it is hard for me to bring myself to finish a book. Especially when the ending is predictable. If you wonder how can I keep track of what is going on in the book if I am reading three or more books at the same time. I just look a page or two back to review then I remember the story.
There are too many stories that I want to read. Somewhere in Tumblr universe, somebody has mentioned about having a book that will tell you what kind of story you want to read at the moment, like the Book of Requirement. Only if that is true.
Books I am currently reading:
Cress: The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
The first two books of The Lunar Chronicles, I finished in a week... and I only have a couple chapters left in this one. I didn't realize there is a fourth book coming out, so I have to wait for the fourth book to finish the series! It is pretty interesting twist on fairy tales. If you enjoy alternative universes of fairy tales, this series would be something you'd enjoy.
Chocolat by Joanne Harris
I started reading this because my favorite movie was based on this book. This book is entirely different from the movie and I really like the writing style. There are two more books after this book, I will get to them whenever I am finished with this one. This is very whimsical story and interesting take at mystical powers.
The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman
I love the author, I really liked her book, Green Angel. I enjoy her writing style. I also wanted to read this book because I have went to Masada. This is historical fiction story about four women and their stories at Masada and Roman armies. Hoffman is able to make characters relatable to readers and paint the scenery vividly.
Morning Glories by Nick Spencer, Joe Eisma, and Rodin Esquejo
This is graphic thriller novel. If you like to get your head messed up while reading the story. This is the one. The story is full of constant twists and dead ends, five students must figure out what is wrong with their high school and why they are there. It sounds lame when I try explain... I can't really say anything more because I will just spoil the fun of getting your head messed up.
