Day 19: Discuss your first love.
From the earliest as I can remember, animals are my first love. I love animals, I wanted to be a veterinarian, then a zookeeper. I once wanted to set up a website that contains an alphabetic list of all animals in the world, so it would be easy for people to find information of any animals they looked for. I gave up after about 50 'A's animals. Eventually I wandered through choices of interior designer, photojournalist, wedding planner, and some other random careers. I forgot about my passion about animals because the life is happening and I had a lot on my plate.
I couldn't decide a major when I entered the college, I had no idea what I wanted. I thought about having a science career so I enrolled into undecided science major and had sampling of each majors that the college has. During the sampling period, biology was the only lecture I stayed awake through.
Hence, I became a biology major. That is still too broad, there are many fields within the major - cellular, molecular, genetics, ecologist, zoologist, micro-, macro-, and many more. I found an elective biology class, animal behavior. In that class, I fell in love with animals all over. I found my passion, my calling within animals and the environment.
I immersed myself into studies that geared toward zoology and I always felt excitement when I have to research about an animal for a class. Now, I am working toward to have a career that revolves around animals and environment.
So, the saying "you never forget your first love" is true. I never forgot mine (although it was ignored for a while).
